Someone mentioned Just Leathers, they were a mainstay here in the Bay Area since the 70s. I bought my first and several other vests there, with and without patches. Bought three jackets there over the years, and they custom made them to fit. They sold me the best pair of chaps I will ever own, though I outgrew them. Even after they put some "v" panels in the thighs and put on a bigger belt! Nice, thick leather and decent hardware. Unfortunately, I think they closed up with the pandemic.
Also wore engineer boots and big bells. I run open belt on my Pan, and I remember the bells getting caught in the engine sprocket and doing half a rev, kinda tugged the leg once in a while. Left a nice, greasy belt/pulley print on the inside of the pant leg. Good stuff!
It was such a fun time. Did a lot of crazy stuff back then.

I gave up on leathers as having 2 stolen out here in Ca.
