Default Blue stuff on new white walls

I never ran WWW tires on any of my bikes but my new to me 09 Road King Classic has them. Its time for a new front tire so I bought a Dunlop American Elite. My question is should I clean the blue coating off before getting it mounted? I figure it would be easier but Im not sure if the mounting process will leave marks on the white wall.
Also any reccomendations on what cleaning products to use to keep them clean and white will be appreciated.

You can clean it off before or after mounting. Doesn't matter. Just use plain water to get it off; no soap or solvent.

I clean the whitewalls after installation. This way, if they get dirty during installation, you don't have to clean them a second time.

How to keep whitewalls clean has been covered ad nauseum. Everyone has their own preferred method. Here is some casual reading.

I use battery acid, and lye, works REAL good, but a hint here, don't leave it on TOO long!!!

You're a glutton for punishment? Might as well wash off now to get in practice...

I wait until after the tire is mounted. Hot water works well.

Westley's Bleche White works amazingly to keep whitewalls and white tire lettering clean. I've been using it forever. Apparently BlackMagic makes it now.
