The price of $300 doesn't sound right at all. Not for the Mysterious Red Sunglow. That's a tri-stage color that's "so far" only available from HD. Just the quart of the Charcoal base, Red Candy & activator came to $337.76. Then you still need Clear Coat.
That color's somewhat difficult to work with as well. You first have to lay the metallic charcoal base coat, followed by several coats of the translucent red. Each coat of the red gets darker, and you continue with such coats until it matches the other parts. It took me 5 coats of red to make it match the existing fenders & tank.
In total I laid 2 coats of Adhesion Promoter, 2 coats of Charcoal Base, 5 coats of Mysterious Red, followed by 8 coats of Clear.
I just charged a friend/customer $850.00 to do his MS Batwing & Bags. If you're on a tight budget, you might want to get some actual local prices before buying the Batwing.

That is a great looking batwing. I did try Friday to get a quote from a local painter. Unfortunately he had closed early to go on vacation this next week. I thought if I asked here I could at least get an idea so I would know if I could afford to buy the wing and get it painted.
Judging by your price I am thinking now that the cost of a plain W/S is how I will have to go.
