Judging by your price I am thinking now that the cost of a plain W/S is how I will have to go.
You could always go with the MS Batwing and paint it later. They're shipped in a high gloss black lucite finish that wouldn't look bad at all with your Mysterious Red. The quick detach hardware makes it a breeze to remove later for paint. They mount nice and firm and the quality is great.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thanks man, that's probably because I enjoy my work... most of the time.

anything red is super expensive, like in the 150 dollar a pint plus expensive, plus it is a tri-coat... cha CHING.

high quality clears, adhesion promoters, properly prepping the part.... it ain't going to be cheap

Trying to weigh the price before I buy one and find out the paint cost will be too high.
I painted one. It was probably $20 or more for black primer and a flat clearcoat and some sandpaper. Turns out, if you are doing flat black, you don't really need a color coat between. Pretty easy to do and looked good.

Yes I ditched this idea as it turned out to be more money than I wanted to invest in it. You just never know what the cost will be until you ask those that have done it. I appreciate the help here.
