I financed the Wifes bike with HD so our banker (good friend of the wifes)would not know that the wife was going to ride.I got 7.4 which is a point higher than My bank plus our banker found out any way but it was to late to preach to the wife.

Is it true that you can get Harley financing on used bikes? Do you have to go through the dealer to do so? I am financed through a local commerce bank so I am unfamiliar with Harley financing

Glad y'all got good rates. I co-signed for my kids Sporty March of 2006. 11.49% WOW. Not good at all. I haven't really thought about it till I read this post. I think I might have him refinance thru another source if we can find a cheaper interest rate. It was a used bike and maybe that has something to do with the high interest.

I bought a, used, 2005 through a HD dealer, using HD financing. I had to wait a week or so for the money out of my 401K, then I paid the loan off. There was no penalty for early payoff, which I made sure of before taking out the loan. I found out I had 21 days to pay off the loan, in order to not pay the first months interest. I paid it off a day or so before then, and hadno problems.

A local dealer has a bike that I am just in awe of, but I am sure nothing could be done because I could never get a good eal on my sportster.
I have had my eye on this bike for 3 years. It was used the first year the Charlotte Bobcats played and the mascot would ride it on the court. It is gorgeous and has over $10,000 worth of upgrades. I know it has been for sale for two years now and last I knew went from $21,500 to below $15,000.
If I could get a good deal on mine I would jump all over this one, but doubt they will even though it has been on the floor for two years now.
