I swerve to miss the dirt when I ride. Therefore I never have to clean.

I didn't buy it with dirt all over it so I keep it minty fresh when I can.

My springer is always clean, but I rarely ride it. My SG and my wife's sporty get cleaned when they need it. We just went through some decent rain the other day, so a wash and a cleaning are needed on both. Riding takes precedence over cleaning though.

I probably do a wash 2 times a year if I do not encounter any rain. If rained on I will wash it ASAP. Mine stays pretty clean only had a chance do a lousy 3,000 miles this season. Occasional dust off and quick detailer between washings. I'm kind of in agreement with an earlier poster, too much washing and rubbing on the bike can be detrimental.

I haven't washed Reaper in at least 5 years. The only time she gets a bath is at the dealership when I bring her in for winter storage, and when I take her out in the spring. She's happier that I ride her than spend some of our limited nice times washing her.

Cheers!

I keep mine clean, dirt holds moisture, which in turn starts rust and corrosion. Spent too much money on paintwork and chrome to have it look like $hit.

I ride through plenty of rain, and salty environments, but I still keep it clean. Doesn't bother me in the least to keep it that way.

I clean them once of year whether they need it or not. This is a serious answer. That is all that I do. Not much time since I'm riding them so much.

Even the ones that I winter ride. My bikes are from 1989 to 2017 and not a one has rust anywhere.

When I had over 5K on the 17 I stopped at the dear. The bike was bug splattered over the fairing, windshield, fender and forks. A walked out to leave and a rider said "Oh! I should have known that was your bike."

I cleaned my XL200X maybe once a quarter, but it had a Hard Candy paint job and vivid black genders that were all shiny. My new FLS is Red Iron Denim, so... probably won't need to wash it as much.

one of the best reasons to wipe on the bike is you get the chance to touch every part of it and find anything loose or broken, plus it keeps it looking good.
