Mine are FLH models so I removed the dash and put the gas cap back on. You can use painters tape to mask off anything that you aren't polishing. There are several videos on youtube on how to use a da polisher and manufactures of the polishes usually have something also.

I've used in on my bike with good results removing minor scratches & swirl marks. May take 2 to 3 applications.

Ride it till you can't stand it. Then grab a can of bed liner paint and brush it on.

3m clear film. I was getting rub marks on the rear fender from the different seats I use. Its barely visible and holds up well. I put a strip on 2years ago and it still looks like the first day. And you can get a roll cheap.
