My choice as well all other things being equal. '96-'97 were the magic years for the EVO Road King.

I have the 05 Train and a 96 Bad Boy. If I come to that decision the 96 is staying.

No coin toss here. I've had both a 80" Evo and now have a 96" Twinky. I'd keep the Evo if I could. Of course if I could go back even more, I'm sorry I sold my 74" Shovel Low Rider.

Lesson learned, I'm keeping the 96" forever.

RHPAW, Why on earth would Moco listen? Think about how much money they make replacing Chinese soup can compensation sprockets.

I'd keep the Evo. I love the simplicity. The later Evo's were the best.

I own the bike in my sig the '98 E-Glide and I would't sell it. So here my take, the Evo isn't under the very strict emissions the TC is. You still can find engine parts for it. True frame and chassis parts are getting harder to get but I wouldn't be surprised the 05 eventually will too. Also a fact the Evo isn't as powerful as a TC but it dont have the same issues. The reason I didn't pick a Tc is the fact that you'd have the cam chain tensioner to deal with. If not changen BEFORE they go out, there a risk of ruining the motor.I'm not sure of the 05 but there was a prob at one time with the crank bearing going bad on TC.

Carbed Evo. IMHO Harley peaked in the 90's. In some ways, so did the whole country.
