Isn't that funny that the bike that is the modern day equivalent of every '58 to '84 Duo-Glide would be a "red-headed stepchild".

I actually think the Switchbacks look good...just seems like a lot of folks rag on them pretty good.

I had a switchback for a couple years. Like someone mentioned earlier, I bought it thinking it would be a good poor mans roadking. It was terrible for two up. The suspension was all wrong for it. Also, the bags moved independently of the seat and would hit the back of my wife's legs on every bump. It was a great bike for one up.

At the end of the day, it is a dyna dressed up like a tourer. If you understand that going in, no problems. I thought the suspension would be a lot more dialed in, and the bags moving against the seat are a disaster.

I'll admit to not knowing much about the newer bikes, but to me, the Switchback is the modern day version of what millions of folks toured on back in the day. Just curious as to how the bags move independently of the seat? Aren't they attached to the fender struts?

Its been a while. Now that I think about it, maybe it was the passenger floorboards that moved independently, like they were attached to the swing arm. She hated it.

They are giving me $7500 for my 06 Street Bob with 4400 miles and has about 6K in accessories (which I know dealers could care less about) The bike has fresh oil change and brand new tires. I feel like he is putting top dollar in my trade.

The difference is $12k financed at 7.25% with payments of $184 a month. My credit is not the best.

Any comments would be welcome. Thanks.
You're going to pay about $3,337 interest on that $12K you're planning on financing.

There isn't but about 1,500 bucks difference between a Switchback and a
Road King. Save up the money while you ride your bike, and before you know it you will have enough to buy a Road King, and you will have two bikes if you so desire.

I had a 2005 Road King and it was too big and heavy.. I am only 5 foot 6 and the Switchback fits me the best. But with all the negative comments on here about it, I'm gonna pass.. I don;'t want to keep the Street Bob. I just bought it a couple months ago to flip.

I don't care about that. It will be paid off in a max of 3 years.

Yea, that will help. It will cut it to $2,161 or less if you can make large payments early in the loan.
