Luckily I travel for a living so it makes it easy to hit a dealer every time I'm in a new town. I also like to get chips from dealers with some kind of history.

So far I have almost 50 chips, here are some of the cool ones:
  • Oldest dealer - Kegel - Rockford, IL
  • Oldest West coast dealer - Dudly-Perkins, San Francisco
  • Harley Corporate office
  • Harley Museum
  • Harley factory - Menomonee Falls - Powertrain ops
  • Harley factory - Kansas City - Vehicle and Powertrain ops
  • Dealer with multiple franchises - Riverside Harley - Riverside, CA; Avalanche Harley - Denver, CO; Rawhide Harley - Olathe, KS; Huntington Beach Harley - Westminster, CA
  • Southern most dealer in the US - Big Island Harley, Kona, HI
The franchisee with multiple dealers also has one in Billerica, MA that I hope to get to some day.
There is also one more HD factory outside of Philadelphia that I plan to get to in June.
All in all it's been fun to visit these dealers and see the making/history of the bikes and HD brand.

Anyone else collect chips in their travels or as a token of your travels?
Hey Chipster, i work here at the York, PA facility, Vehicle Operations, be happy to drop a chip in the mail for you, let me know.

I've been riding for 4 years now and only discovered poker chips a week ago. Not sure how I missed that. I've been to 8 dealerships so I'm circling back and getting those. Funny little thing - 26 years ago I was on a business trip in Palm Springs with my boss, who was a rider. We stopped at the dealership and I just looked around while I waited for him. That counts though, so I ordered a chip online from Palm Springs Harley.

I'm only planning to collect for dealerships I visit, with 2 exceptions: Laidlaw's in Cali, and Chattahoochee in GA. I've been watching Matt Laidlaw and John Maxwell's YouTube channels for a while, so I'm giving them honorary status in my collection.

I'm up to 177. My wife and I are frequent travelers and I travel occasionally for work, and always pickup chips from wherever I end up. Going to Germany next month so I'm sure I'll add a few more.

Pilot has me beat by a few. but I only collect chips from dealers I actually ride to - by bike. I have 47 Dip Dots (precursor to the chips) and 115 chips with 5 doubles. I only have 1 chip from a dealer I haven't been to and that's St.Thomas that someone on one of my trips gave me.

the Dip Dots use to be free until Harley saw they could make a bunch of money by making poker chips. I have paid anywhere from $1 up to $3.95 for a chip. WTF.

Still cheaper then t-shirts. LOL

Pilot, I'll never get to Germany so if you could pick me up one I'd appreciate it. I'll be glad to pay you for it or trade you a couple of my extras.

I have a separate display for additional chips, like Deals Gap, AMA, and other odd ball chips. I even have some $5 Vegas casino chips with pictures of Harleys on them.
It's just a fun pastime.

All but 5 on that board are places I haven't been; Paris, 2 places in New Zealand, Jamaica, and Paducah Kentucky, were given to me by coworkers. For me, it's fun to look at them and remember the trips the wife and I have been, trips to the Caribbean, Ireland, Honduras, Mexico and all over the US. The most expensive one I bought was $5 at Superbike Harley in St. Maartin. If I happen to remember, I'll pick up an extra from Berlin for you.

I don't collect them but, I have received a few as gifts from buddies and have bought a few for the same purpose. We kinda pass them out to riding buddies like challenge coins.

Stopped by the H-D dealership in El Paso for a poker chip. They claim to be the largest H-D dealership in the world. I have to say it certainly is huge but to say it's the largest in the world is a stretch.

I have a small collection, my only rule is that I have to personally pick them up.

Just started as I'm in Omaha for work. Didn't bother with first few dealers I went to while on vacation in Miami/key west

Figure I'll at least start and see what happens. But didn't want to keep missing out on places I don't plan on returning.
