This morning, on my ride to work, I had something new happen. There was a cage in front of me, and we were doing 40-45. A car is coming toward us. I don't think anything about it. Then, all of a sudden her left arm flings out and she flips a rolled up newspaper across the road... about 5 feet in front of me!! [:@][:@][:@] That would have probably felt like being hit with a baseball bat! Just what we need... something else to look out for! Watch out for cars coming toward you with a little yellow flashing light stuck on the top of the car. Anybody else have this one happen to them?

 

Man, I didn't even think about newspapers... I have a hard enough time with the idiots that throw cigarette butts out their window when you're behind them.

I would have never thought about being hit by a newspaper.....it can obviously happen.[sm=exactly.gif]

 

If you get hit by one you should chase them down and beat them with their newspaper. Show them how it feels. When you're done with the newspaper maybe beat them with their shoe just to say you did it. That's always fun.

 

Newspaper? WTF!

 

Happened to me too a few weeks ago. I was riding to work at about 5am and was alone on the road except for an oncoming car. As I begin to pass, this newpaper flies out of the driver's window just over my head toward the yard on my right. I actually ducked. What's the matter with people?

 

Next time that happens, get the paper, rolled it up and bop them on the nose while saying in a commanding voice, "NO"
Seriously tho, I've had to dodge a ton of **** people toss out of their cars, food wrappers, empty cans/bottles... It's worse at night tho when you can't see it until it's right in front of you[:@]

 

Those newspaper carriers are pros. A five foot missis as good as a mile.
