Ya ain't s'posed to be talkin' on the CB when you're on your bike. Rip that thing off & throw it over the fence, then enjoy your ride.

Anyone still talk on a CB anymore anyway?

The CB is good for bike to bike communications when you're in a group. Bluetooth works too, but at least with the CB you don't have to worry about batteries and such.

I found the shorty antenna works better than the factory whip, and with that antenna, channel 1 (Lower Frequency) works FAR better than channel 40 (Higher Frequency).

Works pretty good in a group and we were able to communicate clearly for over 1/2 a mile.

Without an SWR meter, I assume the shorty antenna was tuned closer that the factory whip.

They are "TNC" style connectors. You need to purchase adapters (male and female) to match up to your SWR meter. Example below.
Amazon.com: RF coaxial coax adapter TNC female to UHF male PL-259 PL259 connector: Computers & Accessories Amazon.com: RF coaxial coax adapter TNC female to UHF male PL-259 PL259 connector: Computers & Accessories

I have tried to tune mine but can't get under about 4:1 no matter what. Anyone have any ideas I haven't tried? Already verified grounding, good wire to mount, adjusted antenna to best SWR reading (ended up taking about 6 inches off stock antenna). But SWR is still about 4:1.
