Default Rear tire life???

So how many miles are you getting out of the factory 200mm rear tire??? I'm up to 6,400 and it's looking a bit skimpy??? What's a good tire/price for a replacement these days???

On my dyna, the 160 lasted 6k miles. Got the tire at 20% off list at a Harley sale.

My bike came stock with Dunlop and I have a little over 10,000 miles on it and I think that I will be able to get a couple thousand more. Don't know what tires to recommend, but have had good luck with Dunlop.

I've never gotten over 8 k on a factory tire. Get great mileage on Avons and they're better on wet roads. Metzler 880's are also good

I got 6000 out of the stock Dunlop and replaced it with a Metzler 889. $149 for the tire and $45 install pluse tax and disposal fees etc....I think the total was $208....at a non MoCo shop

I ride solo about 95% of the time. I just replaced the rear at 20,000.

About right. I usually get between 16K-18K on a rear tire (stock Dunlops). I've gotten into the habit of just replacing both of them at the same time..Hell, I got the bike on the stand anyway.
