Taking off for Utah

Taking off for Utah
I am taking off for Utah Friday, and I am pretty excited. Gonna see some old friends I have not seen for about 4 years. We have a whole week of riding planned from Zion to Moab to Bryce Canyon to Cedar Breaks if the roads allow - I guess it is 9000 ft. Anyway I have been checking the extendedweather and it calls for sunny skies no chance of rain 80 - 90 degrees everywhere except for Bryce. The temps there are supposed to be upper 60 - 70s and overnight down into the 40s.
I am all packed and ready to go, but I keep debating if I should bring my leather pants for the high elevations. I have already decided to bring a textile jacket andleave the leather jacket at home mostly due to space. I don't have a tour pak or T-Bag, just using my saddlebags. I already feel like I have packed too much.
Most of my trips have been short 2 nighters.

RE: Taking off for Utah
Have fun! I'm also heading out on fri. to NM will return through Utah, gonna try an see some of the same places. As far as your textile jacket goes, layer some warmer clothing under it an ya should be fine, I rarely wear leather riding gear anymore, Long johns and flannel shirt and/or sweater do a fine job.

RE: Taking off for Utah
I was out to Zion a few years ago...really cool place....lots of cool riding, hiking, etc. Just stay away from any place that sells pizza. I guess I'm spoiled here in NJ (we invented pizza)....but that sh*t in Zion still gives me goosebumps just thinkin about it
Have fun!
