Damn I wish to thunder and mud, that I never stumbled on to this thread, because now I am starting to have thoughts about ditching My beloved Road King to build my ultimate fun machine.

I've always described any model of dyna as a "Superglide with a trim package." I got seriously taken to task for that on the forum here about 4 years ago. "Oh no, that's not true, they're all a lot different from the SG."

OK, right, whatever.

Oh yeah, by the way, SG means Superglide, not Streetglide. Since 1971, not 2006.
Dayum straight. I just get a kick out of these guys who are like "oh if they just did this with the dyna it'd be a great bike". They're all the same damn thing with slightly different tins or other minor differences. The aftermarket is extensive... you can do anything you want with a basic Dyna. I know of people who literally keep wide glide **** around for a dyna and just swap the look when ever they feel like it. Wider tree's and bobbed fender.

I pretty much figure on having mine til I quit riding, then I'll hand it down to my son for a second ride. Grand daughter will probably end up with it.

I have the same but a 2011FXDC. Love the bike and get a lot of compliments. I am thinking about an aftermarket front fender. About 6 inches longer than the HD. I want to get it done before spring but just can not decide if it is worth the aggravation!

What is that flat piece attached to your highway bar behind your left turn signal?

I happen to think the 2006 Anniversary Superglide was the best looking Dyna ever produced. It's a shame it was plagued with issues.

Don't even make me laugh. You think I needed to own one to know about their problems???Issues with the '06 Dyna's are well documented on this forum and countless others.
Here's maybe some reading for you. Along with the known issue of the false neutral, they had bad inner primary bearings, shortened primary fluid intervals, and self destructing stators, just to name a few.

Now granted, compared to some of the Rushmore horror stories, they were a peach, but come on.....
