My 02 Super Glide serves me well, thank you very much. It still draws comments like "just what a Harley should look like". I've put chrome covers on the silver engine and forward controls so it's a custom Super Glide to me and very reliable.

The SuperGlide Custom of later years was the best looking sled, besides the Deluxe, that the Co. made in recent years. Looked like a REAL 4 speed frame HD from the 70s. Never understood the appeal of the StreetBob; too trendy, and that rear fender is fuglo!

I think it'll be back, bigger and better than ever. HD dropped the Low Rider after 2009, now it's back "new and improved", I think the Super Glide will be the same.
They might re-release the FXDC, but the updated Low Rider is doing real well for them. It is damn near what the custom was, and definitely what it would be if it was still in the line-up. Now they're releasing a midyear Low Rider-S. So, I think it will be a while before we see a resurgence of the custom. Not that it really matters that much, there's such little difference between the two. But all that said, I couldn't agree with you more. I like the FXDC more than any other Harley I've ever owned.

Agreed. If the current Low Rider had staggered dual exhaust it would be just as good looking.

go look at the street bob at the Harley web site and click on that build your own bike thing and you can buld a super glide custom but you will have to use a low rider rear fender.

This is the bike that I built just playing with their stuff.

I'd take a Low Rider and swap a Street Bob take off exhaust. Of course I'd add slip-ons to do a Stage 1. Then I'd have a better FXDC.

That said a plain FXD (no C and non HO) would be perfect. Price it $1250 less than the LR.
