One word - Braid. Braid your hair and tie it off with a hair band. They look like rubber bands but are coated so they don't pull out your hair. Just get black or brown since you're a guy. You can get them anywhere - walmart, target, drug store. I have really long hair and if I don't braid it, it gets so tangled that I've actually had to cut knots out of it. So I either wear it in one long braid or split it into two. You probably just want one long braid down your back. Easy to do and then you could probably tuck it under your vest or jacket if you're wearing one.
Well, that sounds like it would work great..but i'm not much on the idea of having a braid [&:]. I do think I will try the hair band things though. I know what you're talking about..basically a rubber band, but covered in some kind of material so that they don't make your hair all crazy like rubber bands do. Thanks for the replies everyone.

WELL before I cut a 2 foot braid off two weeks ago, I would either put it in a braid or put a bunch of bands on it about 1' apart.

I have a 12" leather "hair tube". It snaps together and hooks onto my hair elastic. My hair sticks about 2 or 3 inches past the end of it, but never tangles at all. Before I found that, I used about 6 - 8 hair elastics tied at 1 - 2 inch intervals. A real pain in the ***!

The one I have is similar to these (except mine actually has a small plastic hook the hooks into my hair elastic):

Cheers!
