Not happy with my Day maker made by JW Speaker, On the bike almost 2 years/ 7k miles and now looking at it from the front the light has a amber/yellow halo ring around the outside of the beam, You can see it real good at night on the road and people riding in front of you day or night say they see it!!! I'm saving to buy the Fuel Moto bulbs and put the old headlight housing back in!!!

Was reading this post. Here is the spec sheet: http://www.jwspeaker.com/products/le...eries/0551331/

Raw lumen output is 2,250 (high), 2,025 (low)

Also a nice side by side video:

I think getting your headlight aimed properly will make or break this light. For the ones who take the time to align it to the correct height, it should work great.

I like the idea of the adaptive LEDs, but I've got enough lights on my bagger to see well enough.

I've been watching for the 5-3/4" adaptive headlight to come out for my Wide Glide. It is now on the JW Speaker website - 8690A, but Drag Specialties doesn't list it yet. Curious about the price of the smaller one.

That video shows better light on the inside corners but not as much on the straightaway. It's not surprising since there's only one small bulb used in the center when you're going straight. There are five bulbs available in the arc so why don't they leave two or three of them lit up all the time ?

geez that thing is butt ugly! Especially for those of us who like a semi old school looking bike. Even if it looked 'old school' I wouldn't spend $800 on a headlight. Some of this crp is getting ridiculous.

Nope, that's the 8690M which lists for $420.95, the adaptive light is 8690A.

Adaptive is this one:
