when I read of people who own both, I get the jist that the Truck Lite does a bit better. And before anyone calls me a Truck Lite salesman, I have neither. And just because this whole mess is hurting my head, I am probably ordering one of these new fangled 55w HID setups that the whole import world is screaming about. As a former 35w HID owner, I am all a tingle at the thought that a 55w version is available now. Since the 35w HID light on my Fat Boy was freakin amazing in it's own right, I can only imagine how bright a 55w HID is gonna be!!! All for a grand total of......... Thirty five bucks, delivered.
C'mon BL, spring $163 shipped on a Truck-Lite, treat yourself. I know you'd be glad you did. I've installed them on 3 of my bikes now. Never had a single issue with either of them. I think my oldest one is 4 years now. Still works great. They're well worth the price, and you only have to do it once. They even look cool!

LOL, I hear ya! There's much more I can do for my bbike with $800 then changing the headlight.
Like any new product, it's probably best to let the company run with it for an while and let them make a few modifications before throwing it on the bike - it is a pretty innovated idea though in my mind...
I fail to see the reason why the side lighting wouldn't activate with high beams??? Reason enough (besides the $800 price) not to buy it.
My guess..... and it's only a guess, is that even though LEDs draw less power than standard bulbs, that many burning at one time might exceed the power draw of the factory bulb. So for liability reasons, they just don't want to be at the end of a "melted wire " lawsuit.
