difference between men's, women's and unisex helmets
Does anyone know the difference between men's, women's and unisex helmets? I was looking at one that looks nice and feels comfortable but it says that it's a women's helmet.

It just might be a sign as to what head shape it was molded in. In the biz, I find women's heads to be just slightly rounder than a lot of men's (more oval). The straps aren't on different sides, unless it's powder blue or hot pink if it fits, it fits. Arai uses 3 different head shapes, they don't distinguish male or female. Some companies have rounder shapes as their standard bearer, others have more oval.

While looking for a helmet for my bride, I was told that most Harley helmets use the same shell, and just add more padding. There are apparently some models of Fulmer that actually use a different shell size. There are probably others, as well.

Well mens are for men, and womens are for women, the unic's version, well if you have to ask.
I have never ran across this type of scenrio, except for the paint job. If it fits and provide adequate protection, I would say go for it. The wife and I have both wear 3/4 face Arai helmets, and love them, however I do also have a Shoei half for thoise warmer days.
