Kind of surprised at the low number of "financed but now own it" responses. Bought mine with a 3-year loan that I was able to pay down/off in 2 years. It sure helped that I had another HD to help with the downpayment so that kept the payments reasonable.

Now, if I could just pay off the wife's CRV, it might be time for another bike.....

 

Paid cash for mine. Arleen's is financed for now with a low interest loan from State Farm Ins.

Paid for, I'm another one that was raised with " if you can't pay cash for it you can't afford it".

 

I am like dogtownmax as well in that I always buy used and save a bit of cash. I have owned 12 bikes and none have ever been brand new. The "don't buy it if you can't afford it" coems from my father being the smae way.

Still making payments on a new 2004 Heritage. But I've been paying extra and only have a few more months to go. It should be all mine by the end of the year.

Ihate making payments on anything, so except for the house, we buy it all with cash. Luckily, my wife is excellent at budgeting and saving money. Now if I can just get her to polish my damn ride.....
