Paid cash & left with the bike1/2 hour later. No second mortgage, financemods whatsoever. Life is sweet & I pay for any extra bling without credit. Makes it a whole lot more fun to ride.

 

Bought it new in '01, made 6 payments then payed it off. I sold some property in NC and decided to use most of the profit to payoff the bike.

 

I financed mine, but then paid it off when I sold my other toy, my 91 Mustang GT.

I was STUNNED to see the percentage of people who said they paid cash for their ride!

 

Took the cash from my kids inheritance. It's all mine and the wife's, in case she reads this post. You can't take it with you, so why leave it for your kids.

 

I paid cash for my 20 previous bikes,but my '08 CVO was near 30k. Couldn't see spending that kinda cash so I financed most of it. The idea that if you can't pay cash you can't afford it is ridiculous.I own two houses that are paid for,that's what I worked my azz off to pay for.Toys are just that,my bike and boat are financed,when I get tired of them I sell.Don't want to tie up my cash that could be better spent on more practical investments. Sold two boats that were over 100k,both buyers,financed more than the purchase price.One a surgeon that had more money than god,he had the same idea.

 

Put down $10 grand and a month later made my last payment. $10 more grand. All mine.

 

three of the five that i have owned. i payed cash for the one before i had payments and the one i got now i got three years to go.but that is ok i dont plan gettin rid of my dyna.soon as it is payed off i may get a trike . but i will keep the dyna.

 

I paid cash from my 99 Valkyrie when brand new... but I financed the 07 RKC... I put a good chunk down so I want to pay it off by April/May... We'll see...

 

Fresh out of college so all I have is a head ache. Gonna be paying for a couple more years. MX bike is all pay'd off though.

 

I owned my Buell outright, traded in for the Custom, which I'm making payments on...
