The "I own my bike outright" poll...

RE: The "I own my bike outright" poll...
I put down only enough cash to qualify for the best interest rate when I bought my 06. The best qualifying interest rate at that time was 5.75% and last year my investments in the market returned in excess of 17%. Therefore last year I made 11.25% by not using any of these funds to pay cash for the bike. Again this year so far I am ahead of the game by directing my funds into the market rather then using them to pay off the bike. The end game in my book is that we love to ride no matter how we choose to pay for it.

2007 Fatboy and 2006 Sportster custom for the wife. Cash for both. Thought long and hard about it then decided f*** the kids, whats a little less inheritance for them... We both love them...

27.45 years to go. Good thing it's only at a 22.99% interest rate, or I'd really be screwed!!
I wish I could pay cash for a bike, but I'm only in my early 30's. By the time I could afford to pay cash for a bike, I will have this and probably my second bike paid off (want a Ducati to add to the stable!) Luckily my car is paid off though (paid cash for it), and my wife's is close.

Bought mine on e-bay about two weeks ago and paid cash. They where local, so I did get to ride it first. Very pleased so far.
