Got a good deal on the price ordering it in Bahrain, got a good deal on the loan through a credit union, and paid it off two and a half years early.
One of the good parts about the government having me by the short hairs far into the future is that income is stable - and increasing. So as long as I can get what I percieve to be a fair rate, I don't mind financing stuff because I pay it off early, and I make more in interest on what I put away than i pay out by financing

Saw where someone was selling an 07 and had taken a 8 year note out. Heck, I do not like more than a 5 year loan on a car, 8 years on a bike?
I figure it this way, I pay cash for my bike and buy what I can afford

I bought my Big Dog outright but when I got my Street Glide I had to finance until I could sell off some under performing stocks, sent Harley Credit a certified check last week and waiting for the title now.

financed. I looked at my harley as my first "new car". But instead of some boring assed gas guzzling cage, I wanted to finally get my Harley. My goal is to pay it of in 4.5-5 years and save a bit on the finance charge. Gotta hope and pray come tax time I get a return and a NICE one to boot if I want to have any chance at making this a reality! But if not, Im more than content knowing that I AM working my butt off for my ride!
