I got a good one. Been a working stiff all my life, only could afford metric bikes. And then had to make payments. Started working for a greatguy opening up a new plant here in NC. Working 7 days a week 10 to 18 hour days for the past 16 months. He comes down and sees a Fat Boy on my screen saver. We started talking about bikes and he tells me to go pick one out.
Long story short. I now have a 2007 Fat Boy sitting out in the parking lot. (I'm looking out the window at it now) with the Title at the house.I am truly grateful!

 

I put about half down in cash as a down payment and made payments on the remaining balance until it was paid off.

 

Own it. Paid in full, but selling it. Street Glide is calling my name.

I'm like Meatloaf...Two out of three ain't bad. '85 V45 Magna long since paid off. '04 800 Vulcan paid for with cash. (Bought used last summer...) I just purchased my Fatty in Feb of this year, and have a gameplan for reducing the term of the loan by a couple of years, butbarring a lottery win, I am still probably looking at 5 years minimum. Is it worth it? You bet!!

 

Bought the softail second hand with cash, bought the SG new with cash.

 

Uncle Henry died, left me some money, he rode, I always wanted to, I bought with the first disbersment.

 

I came from a family who never had a car loan....by my 45th I told myself either I can save for 5 yrs and pay cash or ride now pay later....I said f*ck it....I'm riding now!!!!!!

 

I financed Mine in February of 05 and paid it off in December of that year.
