This is the 20th Anniversary of Rolling Thunder and the 25th Anniversary of the Viet Nam Memorial. Should be a huge turnout. I will be there with Pgirl and afew bro's from work. If you plan on going let me know maybe we can met up at the Pentagon before the demonstration ride into D.C.

Our Rolling Thunder Chapter here in Memphis has several members that will be joining the group riding with Rolling Thunder Operation Carry the Flame when they stop here in Memphis on the 22nd this month. I wish I could make the trip to DC this year but just can't swing it. Maybe next year.

We are planning to ride up from Richmond, VA early that morning and to get staged in the Pentagon parking lot. It will be a first time for my wife and I. Any tips would be appreciated. We have been meaning to attend for several years, but something has always come up. We'll make it this year.

This was going to be my first year. I turned 60 and I'm a Nam Vet. Been to the wall several times but thought this would be a perfect time way to get there. But...I got laid off on the 4th of January and still looking for that magic job that doesn't go straight to the younger guy! Luck not being on my side, I'm getting ready to put the scoot up for sale and do what is right.

I'll be there with you guys in spirit..ya know that for sure!

Sounds like a plan Punisher, I've ridden it every year since I returned to Maryland in 97. [sm=biker2.gif]

 

I would like to do it, but the bike goes in the shop the 18th. I doubt it will be out in time. I would ride Jap, but I just cannot get into this ride on a UJM. Might do something at the house, which is about 15 or 20 minutes outside the city... Stop by for a beer?

 

There is a small group of us that will get to the parking lot early, only about 25 min ride for us.

 

I'll be riding out from California with Run For The Wall again this year. Have ridden Rolling Thunder the last couple of years so I think I'm going to pass this time around. I'll be there on Memorial Bridge cheering you on. I'll be easy to spot. I'll be the guy in the black leather vest with the Vietnam Veteran hat.
