Stupid question... Has anyone here installed a Chrome Solenoid Cover on there starter? If so did you remove the old cover to install it? If you did remove the old cover how did you do it after removing the bolts? Was the starter still attached to the bike? I ask these questions because I am in the process of installing one and the old black cover does not seem easily removed, as in it's on there pretty tight even with the screws removed. I don't want to screw up my starter if the old (black) cover is not supposed to come off.

Please tell me how you got the old black solenoird cover off. I want to install the chrome solenoid cover, however I can't remove the old black one.
