Default Sportster 1250?

Guy at work knows I ride so has told me about a crotch rocket he has had and a Sportster 1250. Knowing the guy is full of it, all I can do to bite my tongue to not tell him they only make an 883 and 1200. Sure, bikes can be bored but 50 over? Maybe I am not in the know as all I have ever had from Haley are touring bikes? Could he be right? I am thinking not, just going from a TC 88 to an S&S 98".

Like others have said there is quite a few options for 1250 kits. NRHS and Hammer seam to be the most popular among the forums.

NHRS and Hammer are two other companies offering 1250 kits. NHRS comes in under $800 and is a 4 to 5 hour build.

On the Sportster forum there is a video of a recent Hammer build showing the bike doing in the low 10's at about 130 mph. He whooped a 600cc sport bike.

NHRS just offered a new 88cu. in. kit. That should be interesting.

Funny. Just bought a 1250 Hammer kit for my ole 883 this week. The 1250 has been around for, well, quite a while now.

Lots of 1250 kits out there. If he is full of ****, just tell him to bring the bike to work. Had a coworker who swore up and down he had a crotch rocket, a '93 Fat Boy (1200cc - HA), and a Gold Wing - but couldn't take them to work because gas cost too much.

Ignorance on my part. Never had anything other than a touring Harley.

Hammer 1250 on my (formerly) 883. She's a blast.
