i'm curious about this because a) i tried going really fast on my dyna today and just couldn't muster the nerve to go above 94 on it, and b) going fast on a harley is a WHOLE DIFFERENT WORLD compared to going fast on a sportbike. i guess it's just the greater wind resistance and buffeting, since your riding position is basically as a wind sail. i've gone a lot faster on other bikes, but just can't seem to crack "the ton" on the harley just yet...

 

I'm not comfortable doing 100mph on a cruiser either. If feels dangerous as hell.

 

I top out at about 85 mph on the superslab for extended periods, but then I try to avoid the superslab express whenever possible. I have been momentarily over 100 mphon the on ramp or a lonely stretch of lonely desert highway. However, normally I keep to the speed limit +-5mph. Well,........sometimes +10mph which seems to be the norm in my area.

damn. what kinda bike and under what conditions? and did it feel stable or did you feel like you were about to get blown off the seat?

 

ive had mine 110 also, it feels like 150! its an adreneline rush from he!!.

 

Have mine to the throttle stop regularly.Not like I used to, but still enjoy the rush.Watched the speedo coming back through 120+mph many times.

 

just like dog said. have had speedo buried way beyond the 120 mark. kinda cool when you let off throttle and it takes a while for the needle to actually start dropping from the end position.

 

A thing I do, that isn't the smartest thing in the world,is take each vehicle I haveowned and hit 100 once. That's it.

 

Same here. Will make you hug the tank on an H-D though.
