I have a dyna too. without the fairings or windshield, it's really a chore to fight the wind after about 80 mph. My friend who just bought a Kawi Vulcan claims it has the same engine as the ninja. I wonder about that claim.
In any case, he asked if I ever went 100. I can't really remember. I might have. I do know that in the long haul, I can go faster at 65 than I can above 80. Fighting the wind, even when laying on the tank, makes me too tired/uncomfortable to ride much more than an hour, so I have to stop for a break... 0 mph. Whereas at 65ish, I can ride much, much further without stopping. So an all-day ride gets me further, sooner, at 65 than over 80.

105-110 on the Deuce, before the mods. Since the mods, I oddly haven't felt the urge to go that fast. I think if your are 30 mph over the speed limit or better, it's not a speeding ticket- it's reckless op, which I believe can get you arrested. Sort of a buzzkiller.

I did 90 once. I dont care much for speed. The thought of leaving my kids behind to fend for themselves, haunts me when I do crazy ****. Don't get me wrong, I don't look down on anyone for playing. I just happen to have issues. I am too paranoid.

never had either of my bikes over the speed limit, never, not once, no need to go fast, can't really enjoy the ride if I'm going faster then I can think. never had a speeding ticket in 50 years of speeding, err riding I mean. me and a buddy rode about 115 mph down the turnpike for like twenty miles...its a rush...but you sure have to hang on compared to a sport bike...I have been well over 100...when my buddy on his Hayabusapulls up beside me...clutches and revs the motor some...and then.....he is gone...LOL...damn rice rockets..

Man where were the cops when ya'll hit 120+? I've only had it up to 90 then I chicken out. You guys have bigger nads than I do, If I get busted at 120+ I have too much to loose. Although I'm sure it is quite a rush at 120+.

Although still in the under 1,000 mile club on my Softail 65 has been it. I have found that even at 65 it was 5th gear all the way, shifting up to 6th started the engine to lug a bit.
