Not really sure how fast I have gone on a Harley. The 74 Ironhead has never had a speedo. Opened it up for a couple minutes late on a clear warm night. Cop said I was doing well over 90.
Never had the Dyna over 80. I am getting old.

I have a dyna too. without the fairings or windshield, it's really a chore to fight the wind after about 80 mph. My friend who just bought a Kawi Vulcan claims it has the same engine as the ninja. I wonder about that claim.
In any case, he asked if I ever went 100. I can't really remember. I might have. I do know that in the long haul, I can go faster at 65 than I can above 80. Fighting the wind, even when laying on the tank, makes me too tired/uncomfortable to ride much more than an hour, so I have to stop for a break... 0 mph. Whereas at 65ish, I can ride much, much further without stopping. So an all-day ride gets me further, sooner, at 65 than over 80.

just like dog said. have had speedo buried way beyond the 120 mark. kinda cool when you let off throttle and it takes a while for the needle to actually start dropping from the end position.

I've been up at 120 mph, on my Train, and still accelerating HARD. For testing purposes only, of course.
She's totally stable at the speed, and I have no doubt that she has enough power to bury the needle and then some (I will have to conduct that test someday!).Cheers!

I held my'06 1200 Sportster open on a long straight untill it hit 200kph on the speedo. I think it would have went a bit more, but that was enough for me. That was a cold day last fall. It really likes the cold air!

rode with a guy last summer we both hit over 115, me on a 05 road king and him on a fatboy with apes. I saw about 118 on mine, he said his was over 115, I still had more throttle to go, We were on a new highway just opened that summer and very little traffic. it was a rush and hasn't been repeated since. I prefer the speed limit it's much more enjoyable.

A few years back, my buddy let me ride his FXR, and this was no ordinary FXR let me tell you. I had it to 140 on the slab and it still had a little left. I didnt have any left so I let off. I never liked that much speed anyway.

'bout 110. wasn't extremely comfortable, but not bad. ive been up around 100 several other times. this was on my 98 superglide. only been up to 75 on the street bob, still breakin it in.

Took mine up to 120 a couple weeks ago just to see if it would do it.I didn't stay there for long and won't do it again.It did feel like it had more,but that was too much for me.
