I've been up to 105 a couple of time on my Ultra. Bike was real stable and didn't really feel much different than 80-85. Several years ago I took a friend's Kawasaki KZ1500 (inline 6 cylinder engine) for a ride. He claimed it would run over 130 mph so I tried it. I got to 135, no fairing or windshield and I'm lying on the tank and hanging on for dear life. Still had throttle left, but common sense took over and I backed it back down. Glad I did it once, I'll never do it again!

 

I hit 117 and thats all she has maybe when I install the gear driven cams I can peg it. My old Kawi 900 would do 150 no problem.

 

I guess i'm old enough to not have the need for major speed. Max on the Harley so far is 80-85mph.

Hit 100 mph on the Sporty 1200R yesterday. I don't plan on doing it again, just wanted to see how quick it could get there. It actually felt really stable, but I prefer 50 mph and don't ride on the highway.

 

been up to 106/108, couldn't really tell, I was to busy watching the road But I had more throttle left, but thats about all I'm gonna push it, speedlimits only 70. Usually do 70-80 when cruising on some decent state roads.

 

I was coming home from Yosemite last year riding 2-up with all bags full and a bag on top of the TourPak. There was a long line of trucks on a VERY wide 2-lane, so I swung out to pass them. I looked down as I pulled back into my lane and saw I was going 95. So I finished off the run to 100 before I rolled out of the throttle, so I could tell my wife she'd been 100mph.

So I was telling someone later ( I hadn't told her yet ) about it, and the look I got from my wife wasn't pleasant. I guess next time, I shouldn't tell her.

But I thought it was a piece of cake.

 

110 on my 93 FLHS....And that was stupid. 100 on my 93 FLHS with the wife on back...That was double stupid.

But...When you crash at 80-85 is your body gonna break any less?....

Once I get going above 80 mph, between the Dunlops and that big windshield...It really requires too much attention to be enjoyable cruising/touring. I like 70-75 on the interstate...Set the cruise and ride....

I had my FXRS up to 120 once. I haven't taken my FLHX to that speed yet, only topping out at about 95.
