Default Bugs in the eye's

I just went for a ride and got a bug smack dab in my eye. This is my first bug in the eye. My eye is swelling up and as red as it can be. I found the bug and removed it but I am a little worried about the swelling.

Anyone experience this?

Were you riding without any eye protection?

That I was, rookie mistake. I don't have any clear lens eye wear and it was too dark for my sun glasses. I had to to get home, I hope my eye doesn't swell shut.

I see there is a bubble in my eye I can see when I look in one direction. I think if I popped that my eye would feel much better but I am not messing with my eyes. I hope it goes down before I head to bed.

I won't ride without eye protection anymore.

Live and learn! You may want to see your Dr. if it gets worse.

Do not pop the bubble first of all.
Put an ice pack on the eye for awhile to help with the swelling, if the bubble is still there in the AM I'd go see a doc for a check.Might have a bug part lodged in there.

I wear plastic safety glasses... I buy the "ZTEK" brand at the local welding supply for about $2 a pop for clear, $3 for sunglasses.... The local Harley dealer has the SAME EXCAT glasses without the "ZTEK" written on the side for $9.94 each. I buy a whole box of 12 at a time.

Ouch. As you said, lesson learned. I hope it turns out o.k. and needless to say, that won't happen again !!!
