Default Days Work in the Garage

Me and my Buddy just spent the day working in the garage. We put brakes, tires and a 3 hole oil change. All on a 2014 Limited. I have a No Mar tire machine that back tire was tough on that machine to change. But man we saved him some cash on labor.

Glad you had a good day, thanks for sharing! Nice to have a tire machine handy!

One thing I forgot to say we put the tire beads in the tires to balance the tires. He said just on the short 10 mile ride back to his house the tires felt perfectly balanced.

Tire beads are just the ticket for do it your self tire changers.

ride-on works very well also and you don't have to worry about beads clumping when alittle moisture gets introduced into the tire.

I also like to use Ride On rather than the beads. Not hat a flat since I started using it.

A tire changer is on my list of things to get. With 3 bikes and riding year round I'm buying new tires once and sometimes twice a year. It gets expensive.

In the years past when I was younger...

I Used to change the tires on my bikes. But, now since our new Indy in town only charges $90 to ride in and change out both tires and adjust the spokes, then for $30 more he'll flush FT/R brakes lines also..

Mostly I am just too old to move around on the floor anymore like I used to and since the Money isn't an issue I choose to let him do it.

So that's why for $120, I won't/don't mess with tire changes and/or brakes anymore...

Then I can go home and put the bike on the lift and spend less than an hr to change the oils with My Sons help, instead of working all day working on the bike...

If I was young and flexible I'd probably still do it...

Damn, I have a lift and a tire machine in my home shop but I'd pay $30 for a brake flush every time.
