Default Northeast riding season

With temps hitting the toilet and daylite getting shorter by the day....Sad to say:THE THRILL IS GONE....Well not completely yet.Soon to Soon.
By the time you get home, change, shower, warm up bike,suit-up,select a tune, the SUN is gone.Riding at nite with all the Bambi's around it's SEWER SIDE

Friggen depression and hibernation is moving in.

Somebody give me a DOCTOR

My outlook is different. For me the winter riding season is just the beginning of thrilling adventure riding. At 75 yoa it helps keep my heart pumping.

Sitting inside a warm house looking out at the world going by is just not for me. I get out and ride! Then I feel like I'm leading the charge.

and that's why I'm heading to Florida the end of next month. I'm gonna be riding my bike all winter and spring in the warmth and sunshine.

The season isn't over but my time will be cut in half. My seasonal job has ended so I can ride any day. Just not as far or as long. When they start salting and sanding I will be done.

Not til the salt is on the road here in PA. Off season doesn't mean you stop enjoying the hobby, much easier to do mods when you can't ride ,start planning, spring will be here before you're done !! This has been one of the most colorful fall seasons for riding !

Wow. You folks have it nice up there during fall with the various bright leaf coloration's before the tree goes bare. Ya know, beside having cool crisp air and smelling fireplaces burning, they really enhance the enjoyment of cruising the country roads.
Lol, in N FL the trees just immediately go from green to barren if remembered correctly.

Just can't understand why the northerners complain having 4 seasons.

That's another reason I love living in SouthbyGodCarolina. I can ride all year if I choose. I may need some heated gear if I leave out early or roll in late but generally it just means a leather jacket and gloves over a warm shirt. There will be a few days of frozen precipitation which gives some time to clean and do chores.

Smell the fireplaces, the cool crisp air, the blinding sparkle of a clear winter day with the sun hanging low, the forest litter adds an almost ethereal aromatic sense to a nice long ride on a lonely country road the likes of which I am blessed to have an abundance of. And since it's "cold" I have them all to myself. I love this time of year.

And with the j-o-b thing getting slow it looks like I'll have a bit more time than in the past few years.

I like the cool weather riding, but it does get to be a pain getting dark so early. Like mentioned, I ride until they salt the roads, hopefully that won't be until sometime in December. Then the bike goes in storage so I can get the Jeep in the garage and count the days until I get he bike back out again.

Nope...not yet. BEST time of year right now for riding, gorgeous colors, and perfect temps. And I try at least once or twice a month for weekend rides during winter...down to around 20*.
