With practice, you can out perform ABS. I teach advanced students "how to" all the time. It does take diligent practice though...

That's a nice RK for $7000, OP. That was a score.

The '03 Road King was still a nicely equipped bike. For the price you mentioned, not a bad deal. Is it Fuel Injected? some (maybe all?) of them were. Point is, take it for what it is and enjoy. Or, if you really want ABS, shop around.

Good deal bud....I'm still riding my 04 Glide with no issues, though I changed the spring tensioner to hydraulic a year ago with the SE oil pump, BB, dyno... Other than that ride it like you stole it. Good luck.

After owning my Harley with ABS, I bought a second bike that didn't have it. You don't quite realize how much ABS is working for you until you go backwards. If you've never had it, no big deal. But if you've had ABS on a previous bike, you'll come to miss it the first time you have to hit the brakes hard, I don't care how good of a rider you are or how long you've been riding. Not saying you'll have a catastrophe on your hands. I'm just saying not having it will become very evident and you'll miss it.

Congrats on the King. I agree with the post above. Looks like a great deal! Now change your signature line!
