Default Honorary MC Member ??

Does anybody know what an "honorary member" of a 1% club means? Is there even such a thing?

I personally have never heard of it. The patch is something earned, not given out on a whim...

So if I were to make a guess, I would say there isn't such a thing...but then again I am not an expert in that realm...

Yeah the only thing I could find was about someone that was a member in good standing at one point. I recently had someone tell me they were an honorary member of a club that I know they never previously belonged to.

Not MC but from Yahoo...

An honorary member is often a person that has either already served as a full time member and enjoys a certain respect among the remaining full time members after his or her full time membership has completed, or is a person who can add value to the organization just by associating their name with it, without having the obligation to perform the duties of a full time member.

A long time ago, and I do mean a LONG time ago, some MC's had "Honorary Member" patches.
I have not seen a true 1% club "Honorary Member" patch in many years.

I seem to remember hearing about 'honorary members' being patched in (without prospecting) for providing legal or medical services or whatnot. No idea if it's still done or who would do it these days, though.

I think if you kill a rival club member and ride up to the club house with his head mounted between your handlebars you might make honorary member.

Then again that's just me thinking...

..never a good thing.
