If I want to ride, and there is no snow or ice on the roads. I leather up or put on my heated gear and ride.

I have put power two jacks on the side of my console to keep the cords short. And I'm 65.

I'll admit, I'm a big ole pansy! I don't ride if it's much below 50, but here in Houston we only have maybe 20 days of that per year so...

I factor in wind chill -20 degrees so 50 degrees feels like 30 so, that is definitely leather

and cold weather gear temps.

A few years back in Europe we rode summer and winter, temps down as 15F were no problem. As long as there was no salt on the roads or snow. Leather jacket leather pants, high boots, gloves, face protection and goggles. Isolation underneath: isolated thermal overall for dry suit diving...On our Heritage Classic 2003..Cold? Yes ! Fun? Yes and astonished faces or cagers around you.

Heated jacket liner under some body armor and a leather jacket. Chaps or snowpants, heated gloves, balaclava mask and a neck protector. The cold is not a big problem, but when it gets wet and you get ice or snow it's time to call it quits for the season.

One of the two things I like about living in NC is that I can ride year round. It gets cold here at times but never stays cold too long. I'll ride when it's as low as 45 degrees on a short ride, but typically it it's under 50 I won't bother because I know in a few days it'll be 10 degrees warmer.

40 is my cutoff. Once it starts snowing and they start salting the roads, I wait until the roads get a little cleaner before venturing out.
