personally i have had a good experience with Kuryakyn. i did find a site that was selling knockoff Kuryakyn grips. I won't say the name here because i cant afford a lawyer. i got some and knew they were not real. got the real deal now and am pleased. i hate to be disappointed with new toys.

Purchased a Kuryakynshortened turn signal bar for my bike. Poor quality in both casting and chroming.Mounting area didn't match the fender. A real piece of crap.

Found outthe next week thatHarley Davidson makes one. Really great quality and looks great on the bike!

I'll never put Kuryakyn crap on my bike.

My throttle side grip gave up after about 200 miles too. The dealer glued it haven't had a problem since (4800 miles later).

I love my ISO grips.

Must admit to poor quality chroming on my Kury air cleaner - if you look closely you can see black swirling in the chrome!!

Also:

1) Wrong gasket in box - had to re-use the OEM one
2) bought a black insert - no screws supplied

I wont be rushing to buy Kury parts again, especially as they have to be shipped to to the UK!!!!!!

kury grips, hwy pegs, shifters pegs, brake pedal, forward controls... all installed by me and no probs whatsoever in quality or durability. Thinking about getting the driver/passenger floorboards.

I purchase Kuryakyn stuff back in 1993 when I got the bike, hypercharger, ISO pegs, front fender lowering kit, etc. High quality stuff. Disappointed that the quality has gone down hill.

I have purchased their ISO grips and their foot pegs....cannot complain. This was probably about four years ago....

Either people just want to bitch about something or in fact their quality really has gone down hill.

So far I have the trans cover, lower cylinder cover, inner primary cover, and crash bar from Kuryakyn and ever things been fine. I did buy the HD SE chrome air cleaner backing plate and discovered a 1/4 imperfection after I put the damn thing on. I also bought the HD swing arm covers and they were full of small bubbles. My point is that HD parts can be crap too. The only good about buying at the dealer is I can open it up at the parts counter and inspect it before I leave. You would be surprised to know how many parts have imperfections out there! As far as quality going down to toilet I had the same issues buying chrome parts in 1991 for my 1991 Sportster!
