New Fatboy Exhaust reccomendations
I recently bought a 2003 fatboy, it has Screaming Eagle II slip-ons. I like them ok, but would like it to be a bit louder. I also took my son for a ride recently and he melted his shoe on both mufflers since one is above the pegs and one is below. I have always thought that I would upgrade to V&H Big Shots staggered in chrome. I think I will have the same melted shoe problem with this set-up. Because of this, I am considering the pro-pipe, big radius, and short shots. Short Shots being the least desirable for several reasons. My wife will also be riding with me so I am leaning towards the pro pipe with mini-floorboards. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

HUH?
I thought the OP wanted a pipe that was louder and didn't burn himself ,or the passenger.
He didn't ask for a dino readout..
I would say "match the exhaust to the riding style for best results"

Drag pipes would also fulfill the OP's requirements but those are only good in a very narrow rpm range and usually at full throttle for the best results.
People who put louder exhausts on then complain about the lack of performance, loss of mpg and wonder why their motorcycles run like crap.

What kind of sounds do you want?
Suggest you listen to a bunch of different pipes...and see what YOU like for sound.
Everyone 'n their mother 'n their mothers cousin has V&H pipes...want to be just like everyone else?
One option....changing the baffles of your current SE pipes. You can get 3rd party baffles of varying sound configurations....so you can keep the SE pipes if you like the look at fitment of them.
I do like the sound of Thunderheaders....just not a fan of the look of a fat single pipe.
