How Do You Tell Somebody NICELY That You Don't Want To Ride With Them

I think Ray is exactly right.
How you ride versus how someone else rides is largely opinion, so instead of telling someone how wrong they are in the way they ride, I would just tell them that I ride much different then they do and to ride together would not be fun for either. I would tell them once we all get there we could hang out and have a good time but I just need to ride there on my own.
Or you could just start with them and then when they began slow poking down the road, slowly leave them and when you get there tell them they were driving to slow for you. I personally don't don't follow what people see in this group riding anyway. I'm not a real big fan of it anyway and there is always one or two in a group who ruins it for everyone.

I do the occasional group ride or charity event, usually when friends suggest one...but 98% of my riding is me, my Glide, and usually no agenda. I go where I want, when I want, and how fast (or slow) I want. Some friends have laughed and called me a lone wolf. Whatever - I ride for me, not for friends or anyone else.
That said, I'll usually give people a chance if they want to go somewhere, but I want to know about their riding background before we set anything up...
Every situation is different, but you can minimize the differences by riding alone. Just sayin'.
