Default This makes me upset...

I always try and take care of my things. Of course I know that some others could care less about theirs.

A un-named Harley dealer has so many bikes that they have to park them outside all around the building because their is no room for them.

I am talking Hundreds and hundreds of bikes....and 3/4 of them are brand new, taken out of the crate, put together, and parked outside and left there for months and months, maybe close to a year or more.

When they need a certain model on the showroom, they go out to the yard and grab one up.

This is what I saw at the dealer today in the showroom.

There was a brand new Ultra Classic on the showroom floor and the radio was sun faded from sitting outside in the weather for months.

Look at this picture....man it breaks my heart to see such a nice vehicle that they put out in the sun to rot, and now they put it out on the showroom floor looking like crap.

Of course they will probably replace the faceplate and the buttons, if the customer complains, but it still goes to show that the dealer doesn't care about their bikes.

This bike is a brand new 2015 sitting on the showroom floor.

That's just stupid!

There is a dealer need me that has 100s of bikes in inventory, and they keep them in a huge warehouse. They also have an inventory of about 50 used bikes, and they bring them in and out of the warehouse every day.

Car dealers can keep cars outside because cars are designed to be outside, where as motorcycles are not.

Edit: oh yeah...Calimesa is on the face of the sun. So anyone with a brain realizes you can't leave vehicles outside for an extended period without some type of degradation. It's not like it is in a high rent district either, so you would think they could build either a warehouse, or a cover over their lot. Oh yeah...and vehicles that sit outside in this environments get covered with spiders too! Yuk...how'd you like to find a nest of black widows in your bike, while you're riding down the freeway at 70??.

I'd stay clear of that dealer.

They need to sell off some of their inventory and build a warehouse.

I'd be dammed if I'd drop hard earned cash to buy a new bike left out in the elements. If it's going to get faded and covered in spiders at least let me do it not right out of the crate.

My well worn bike is 16 years old and I still put a half cover over her everyday at the office to protect it from the sun.

Unbelievable.

If I was going to buy it, I'd have them replace that faded crap or have them knock a lot off of the price. I'd like to know who'd buy it like that.
