Schott leather worth the price tag?
was lookin around for a new jacket today cus the one i have is lookin like crap and the other new one i dont wear cus it has harley davidson on the front and is a touring switchback which is versatile and a nice coat jus not my taste. it was a gift and im actually trying to sell it for half its price inthe for sale gearthread.Well trying on a few jackets within my price range which is below 200 and they really felt an looked like crap. Of course the one jacket i try on that i like and was exactly what i wanted to begin with was 365 dollar Schott leather. I cant really afford it but i really do need it. ive always kinda jus worn beater type jackets to ride with for the last couple years.. is this a good jacket and worth the money? or is it overpriced ? i looked online and seen in listed from 400 to 500 at the highest and 385 the lowest so the price i found it at is lower then ive seen online.

I bought a schott police leather over 35 years ago at a Hill Climb event in Pa. It was by-far the best piece of leather that I've ever owned.....far as I know it's still on the road (gave it to a guy who worked for me cause I grew out of it). I had worn it for about 25 years. The only drawback were two riveted holes on the chest for a badge.

They look good. The one thing I don't like, if the illustrations are correct, is that they don't have any "flow thru" ventilation. Here in Az that's very important.

I've heard good first-hand reports about Shotts; the other jacket that gets lots of praise is the Langlitz. The price is commensurate with the praise. I'd like either one, but for now will stay with my (imported) Harley Nevada.
