I just got off the phone and ordered myself and a buddie one.I don't understand why some of you are waiting for 3-5 weeks. I called and talked to Erin, they didn't have what I needed, she gave me the # to one of their dealers andhelmets willbe here Monday, same price, they were closer to me than ACC, cheaper shipping. yuck . . 1/2 helmets offer barely any protection . . . I hope you guys don't have to test these out!

They are nice looking, but I wouldn't trust my noggin to one.
Unfortunately and member recently got a full test of one of these helmets. He hit the ground at the temple I believe after being rear ended by a High Speed drunk. Thankfully he is still alive to talk about it.

Seriously I believe that the protection you wear is your choice. The situation of an accident will have a lot to do with whether that protection was or was not the right choice. If you think people don't die or suffer horrible brain damage from impacts to afull face helmet you are mistaken.I agree agood full face is better protection from damaging your face. I like my 3/4 too....but to say these are noprotection is wrong. Any protection is better then no protection and if you read up on these helmets you might find they are well engineered....

I bought one for hubby at Christmas...He doen't like it without a windsheild so much because he is used to a full face. This means I get to steal it quite often I used it last weekend....loved it. They have some new colors....Woo hoo....gonna get me one soon!

I have asked before but did not get alot of replies..so here goes.

How is the wind noise with the ACC helmets? I have a half helmet now with removable ear covers, and when the ear covers are not it, the wind noise is crazy. Dont want to drop the money if the wind noise is as bad on these helms.

Thanks.

Wind noise depends on if you have a windshield, and how fast you are going IMO. It did not seem that there was excessive noise with this helmet. I suggest you adjust your windshield if you have one first, or wear ear plugs...

Well I dont have a windshield and with no helmet I am good to go. I think it is the straps on the helmet that causes so much noise. there is so much room between them and your face on a normal half helmet that I think it causes all the noise. Was thinking because of the small size of the acc helmets, that maybe it would not be as bad.
