Default Tail lights

Driving home last night with da wife in our SUV. Following a bagger. When he hit his brakes, the tail lights (LEDs) flashed brightly three times very quickly and then turned a steady bright red. REALLY gets your attention. Thought that was a pretty cool, especially from the point of safety (being seen). Is that a Harley part or something else? I'm considering getting that for my bike.

Bright *** Light. I run the BAL-2 on my '14 Heritage. Worth every penny IMHO.

They are great until you are riding behind someone on your bike for any length of time...it gets really annoying....REALLY annoying...heh

Yup, the best couple of hundred you'll ever spend on the bike. I run the B.A.L.-1 light plus the run/turn/stop conversion w/ LED's in the turn signals as well. The BAL has multiple display settings; I run the one you saw 3x's at flash then constant. Great safety feature. Lots of guys here have one.

True. If it's someone you know, ask them to knock the intensity down to the low setting. Easy to do.

Default Tail lights

I followed someone with those on last Sunday's HOG chapter ride. I thought they were cool and helpful.

You know you can get the same effect from stock tail lights by tapping the brakes a few times then grabbing and holding them in

Yep, and you can also modulate your brakes to mimic ABS. However I will let technology handle this one for me. The BAL is a great taillight.

I'd like something like that on my bike, mounted onto my sissy bar.

Negative. Nowhere near as bright as BAL.
