Default repair parts in my saddlebag?

Just curious, what kind of repair parts do any of ya carry? Spark plugs, bulbs etc., not talking about tools here. I've got a good assortment of doo-dads and tools that have kept me going a couple of times, but I want to know what isin your goodie bag of repair parts. Better to learn from theexperiences of others than suffer the consequences of the mistake yourself.

Be interested in knowing how anything you had on the bike kept you from calling somebody for help,or being put on the tow truck.

I usually carry a spare engine cause anything less and I probably would have forgotten it at home anyways.

IMHO, some of the best things that you can carry if ya got the room is an extra set of spark plugs, an extra 7/16" retaining snap ring for the clutch/brake clevis pins, an extra clevis pin, a tire repair kit (if ya got cast wheels), and I know some that carry an extra clutch cable but that aint me.

Great idea, but do you carry a spare nut to replace the one you'll bust lifting the spare motor into the frame?

Spark plugs and a H/L bulb would be very helpful along with a spare brake light bulb. You can do without your signal lights in a pinch, but brake and H/L, not so good after dark.

What is this dark of which you speak? Is this something that occurs in the Lower 48 in the summer?

Plugs, some wire, zip ties, maybe a quart of oil, some fuel line, some clamps.

I have passing lamps so I figure they would cover for the headlight in a pinch.

But nothing beats a good working knowledge of your bike's systems. You might be able to MacGuyver something together to the next stop.

None. Years ago I carried spare plugs, can of oil, plugs and condenser. Never needed any of it so have not carried any spare parts for the last couple hundred thousand miles and never been stranded or had a flat tire. Very lucky I guess.

I do carry spare goggles, gloves and clothes on trips.

I carry a spare shifter linkage. Seems like someone always breaks theirs in the group I ride with.
