Default Conclusion of non DOT helmet ticket...
I went this morning to court for the trial. Fortunately for me the officer chose not to show up. So I got off. No fine, no points on my record... I am not sure why the officer didn't show up, but am glad. I took the money and ordered a DOT ACC carbon fiber helmet.

typical, if the officer showed it could set a precedent when the decision was made and make the police look bad. not many states will let a helmet case come to court.

That's great. The money will do YOU, and the general public, a lot more good going into a helmet that will keep you safe, than it would going into the bottomless cesspool of state bureaucracy.

Seems to me that the only person that really lost any "time", was the guy that got caught wearing the Non DOT helmet.

Glad you took the fine money, and bought something worthwhile with it !!
