Default 2016 Model Anouncements - CA ARB Documents

http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/onroad/.../2016/2016.php

103s are stock again this year, 110s in CVOs.

CVO Road Glide Ultra
CVO Ultra Limited
CVO Street Glide

I expect we'll see another CVO Softail of sorts. None of these reports have Softails listed, so maybe there is truth to the rumors that the 2016 Softails will see some revisions.

Big news is the return of the Road Glide Ultra in standard form.

Isn't that something, HD has to go through additional and oppressive regulatory hurdles to just to sell motorcycles in Ca.
Isn't that an extra $200 or so just for the pleasure of buying a Ca emissions bike?
Pretty soon the only HD's that will pass Ca emissions are the ones with liquid cooled heads.
Get your air cooled Harley while you still can.

.
They certainly need it. The entire Softail line is due for some much needed upgrades.

I'm curious what the big emission level reduction years have been in the MC industry beginning in the year 2000.

In the heavy truck diesel engine industry (tractor trailers), the big years of change or emission reductions were 2004, 2007, and 2010. The impact on reliability, cost, fuel economy, heat were staggering.

I'm curious what the big years of engine exhaust emissions were for the MC industry.

BTW - I can't friggin believe someone posted a link to CARB emission certs! I thought I was the only engine geek outside of CA that looked at those.

New model year Harleys are barley talked about on the Softail forum. It is all about the mods and making them custom. By the way sweet ride OP. Love the Springer Softails

CARB has little or no oversight, they act at the liberals whim and cost us all millions.
Way back when, they served us well, the major smog basins are cleaner and they are off the hook now. The day is coming when they will decide anything built before a certain date, will be taken off the roads.
