Default Security pin #

So my father in - law bought a used 14 ultra trike from a dealer with 1200 miles. It is a repo and still under warranty. The original owner changed the security pin so dad takes it to the dealer to have it re-set and they tell him it can't be done. I call BS. If it is true I would expect them to replace the module. He's passive and won't fight for it. Says he'll just carry both fobs and a spare battery.
Has anybody else run into this?

As long as he has a fob it's simple to do yourself. Instructions in the owners manual unless there's something diff about trikes.

I'm surprised they didn't want to charge him $100.

I thought it was common knowledge that you could change it. It'd suck if every used bike had to keep the previous owners PIN.
