We went to the Hog Rally last year on Oahu. There is no place in the world like Hawaii, not only for the scenery, but for the people there also. They make you feel like they have known you forever. The plane ride sucks royally, but it is worth it. Thats the only place I have ever been to only once, but get homesick for everytime I think about it. The hubby feels the same way. Can't wait to go back next year. Counting the days. I can't say enough, if you have to sell the firstborn, get your butts over there!!!!!

AND one tip, for anyone renting, if your going to have a passenger, make sure they have a backrest. We didn't, and I was in tears sometimes. [:@] Would I do it again....damn right I would!!!! [sm=smiley20.gif]

Keep an eye on the weather. It can be pouring on the windward side and dry as a bone on the leeward. When going upcountry, remember you are going up in elevation. It gets chilly at 7,000-8,000 ft,even on Maui.Early morning is the best time with the least winds. When the trade winds kick up in the afternoon it can blow you around pretty good.
